The attribute points in Elden Ring include Vigor, Mind, Endurance, Strenth, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith and Arcane. Players are confused about configuring these. Next let’s get familiar with and optimize building them.
1. Vigor
In the game, you are unlikely to dodge every attack from the enemy, so it is necessary to increase your Vigor. It can increase your survival rate in the BOSS fight. Increasing Vigor can increase HP, here is the relevant data:

It can be seen from the data shown above that when the Vigor is increased to 40, the highest HP increase will be obtained. Beyond 40, the HP increase is reduced to nearly half, but it is still a double-digit increase. When the Vigor is 61, compared with the Vigor of 60, the increase of HP is not only reduced by more than half, but also becomes a single digit. So get your Vigor to 40 or preferably 60 first. If the boss can’t kill you, it doesn’t matter if you do little damage.
2. Arcane
Arcane is undoubtedly the best attribute in the game besides Vigor. The main thing about Arcane is that it improves weapons and tools with Arcane scaling in various ways. Generally speaking, weapons and tools with Arcane scaling have two characteristics. The first, use Arcane to scale all damage types; the second, use Arcane to control their bleed, poison, or sleep accumulation. Upgrading Arcane can make some weapons, such as Reduvia, deal more damage. If your Arcane stats are high, a weapon with both Arcane scaling and status effects will apply those effects faster. This is why Arcane + Bleeding is so powerful. Weapons like Blood River can apply bleed multiple times per fight at high Arcane. If you want to create a bleed-focused build, Arcane is worth the upgrade. If the weapon doesn’t scale with Arcane, status effect accumulation won’t increase even if your Arcane level is high.
3. Mind
Mind determines your max FP, and increases your sleep and madness resistance. The more FP you have, the more spells and skills you can use. When you cast spells, skills, FP will be consumed. Is the higher the FP, the better? That’s obviously not the case. So, what FP should you aim for? Typically this is the amount that can be replenished by consuming a fully upgraded flask of cerulean tears.
4. Endurance
When you’re in combat, everything drains Endurance, especially when you have to “dodge, cast, dodge, repeat.” It drains your Endurance. With low Endurance, you can easily end up in a state where you can’t run, roll, or fight, and then just walk slowly for a short while, which can be fatal. Endurance also depends on load. Simply put, Endurance controls how much weight you can bear. You want to get enough gear loadout that it’s at least below 70% so it’s easier to dodge. Go below 30% for better dodge. Equipping your favorite gear and maintaining a medium roll is efficient. Build up enough Endurance early in the game and keep an eye on it during combat to see if you have what it takes to manage it. My suggestion is to increase Endurance to 35, preferably 40.
5. Faith, Intelligence, Strenth, Dexterity
The individual attribute points mentioned earlier have their own value, and the remaining attribute points need to be combined to be efficient. Some players often wonder about Faith and Intelligence. To put it simply, the Faith stat is primarily related to Holy and Fire damage. Spells cast with a Seal are also generally associated with high Faith. Spells essentially support healing, buffing, and crowd control spells, but there are also a variety of damage-based spells. Overall, Faith offers a lot of variety but not much specialization. Intelligence stats are primarily related to magic damage. Spells cast with an amphibious staff are also generally associated with high Intelligence scores. Magic is almost entirely focused on dealing damage, with many different types of highly offensive spells but only a few support spells. As players usually see the two builds Faith/Strength and Intelligence/Dexterity, using Blasphemous Blade and Moonveil respectively. These are all very powerful weapons, allowing each stat to be paired perfectly with their respective magic type.
Finally, let’s talk about Strength and Dexterity. From the literal meaning of these two attribute points, the higher the Strength value, the heavier the object can be picked up, and the higher the Dexterity value, the faster the speed. They are closely related to the use of weapons. Weapons have stat requirements, the most common being Strength and Dexterity. Heavier weapons require more Strength to use. Weapons that require more flexibility and elegance require more Dexterity. This is a mandatory requirement for using the corresponding weapon. Typically Str weapons are slower, deal more damage per swing, and can interrupt some enemy attacks, while Dex weapons are faster, but you have to focus more on enemy attacks since you can’t interrupt them. There are exceptions on both sides, as well as some fast Strength or slow Dexterity weapons, so just boosting one of those stats is not advisable. At this point, the attribute points involved in the game have been introduced. They are worthy of players’ attention in order to easily win.
