NBA 2K series has been continued for several years. Why does it still so popular and the NBA 2K17 is so hot even though it’s not release yet. Following record is about why the players are still playing NBA 2K Games.
Yourhellion: I do. All the time. 2k has become the Madden of basketball. I love the idea of playing 2k, almost to the point of excluding other games entirely. But it’s such an exercise in self punishment at this point. There are dozens of things to rag on, but in my opinion the two most prominent NBA 2K17 Coins game breaking are the catastrophically unbalanced AI and the difficulty spikes. I know basketball is a game of momentum, but there’s no reason for my team to get ahead by 20 points, I get subbed out, and when I come back in we’re down by ten. Like 4 minutes later. There’s no reason for my teammates to have zero concept of basketball mechanics while the opposing AI all plays like Monstars. It’s just…not fun anymore. But I keep playing to prove a point as if the game cares whether or not I feel vindicated.
1sie: All The Time.
For the reasons you mentioned as well as lack of time, I pretty much stopped playing anything with A.I. so I just go on mypark. I grinded mycareer as much as I could bear to level up, but I didn’t even finished the first full season.
Got to 93 and unfortunately will stay that way, which means that occasionally players with higher attributes get the best of me even when making worst basketball decisions, NBA 2K17 MT sometimes, yeah it gets to me bad. Being a 33 year old dad who sometimes rages on a videogame, is just not cool.
Yet I keep coming back, I played ball games since NBA live 96, and still play ball IRL, and it really amazes me how good of a hoops simulation we have available these days.
So yeah I love it, sometimes hate it, and can’t wait for 17 to come out!
Teammates who like to pass and defend also help, and like fundamentals, those are scarce in the park.
But yeah I know, and I have a solid game and most of the times the numbers are not a factor, otherwise I would’nt play. But sometimes, when for instance I contest a dude perfectly on a jumpshot, the kind of perfectly timed contest that IRL gets you a block, yet in the game he still makes it, I kinda loose my shit, but just for a second, then its back to balling.
Gelato: I deleted the game and just waiting for 2k17 at this point, but I hope that 2k actually makes the game playable without microtransactions. I swear playing myteam is like playing a mobile game that costs you $60.
Dany-Heatly: As someone who plays almost all the major sports titles, especially NHL, when I see you guys complaining about this game being broken I have to laugh a little bit. How dare you compare it to madden. My god if NHL or Madden were half as good as 2K I’d probably never leave my house. I don’t even really like basketball in real life but I play this game more than the others because it’s just so much better. Not saying it’s perfect though, but in comparison to other sports titles this one is miles ahead.
Sambush: It sounds to me your not even playing the parts of that game that are the best. ProAM and MyPark are by far the best and in my opinion the only reason I play. I feel like jumping in ProAM with 4 people you picked up in communities is the closest thing you can get to going down the gym and playing pickup ball. The element of testing your skills again another real player is what I live for.
Parisfrance: Next year just do a custom roster with a created player with reasonable stats. Then just lock your playable character as the position of your created player.
Boom you can trade for players you want. Develop your team and player but still have a “myplayer” to play with. But no spike lee BS.
Also, there are players who said it waste him lots of time palying NBA 2K games.
Some player kinda feel bad having spent so much time on this game themselves. Someone playing time curve is exponential as the 2K versions go. 500 hours in 2K14, 1000 hours in 2K15, and we can guess the number of hours in 2K16. Here’s to hoping this trend doesn’t continue in 2017.
Anyway, we advocate that playing games in your spare time ,not all the time.
